Dashcam functionality will be added by Google to Pixel smartphones

Google is working on new features for their Pixel series smartphones. The new feature is called Dashcam. Many people came to know about the feature after it was accidentally launched on the Play Store. But later it was removed. The news is not hidden.

The search engine giant has rolled out the new feature in an updated version of its Personal Protection app. A new dashcam feature has been added to it. As the name suggestions , the feature facilitates video recording while driving using the Pixel phone as a dash cam. Dashcams features plays an important role in providing information about critical moments or accidents while driving or climbing.

The personal protection application has several features. These include emergency sharing, vehicle crash detectors and personal safety checks. As a result, if Dashcam mode is enabled on Pixel smartphones, users can easily access the feature by adding a shortcut to the homepage. According to Google’s own sources, even if the Dashcam feature is on in the Pixel smartphone, it can be used normally. Besides, users can use Google Maps for navigation and searching.

The new features will come as a built in feature for Pixel phones. Video recording will start when users pair the smartphone with a Bluetooth device such as a car stereo system. Recording will hold only when the connection is disconnected. Also, the recorded video will be automatically deleted after some days if you want. From app Video size will be increased to 30 MB to increase device storage.
