BALTIMORE — Anthony Santander hit one of the Orioles’ five homers and drove in four runs, and Baltimore beat the Boston Red Sox 15- 10 on Friday night.
Jorge Mateo, Adley Rutschman, Ryan Mountcastle and Ramón Urias homered for the Orioles, who had collected three runs in their former two games, both losses.

NEW YORK( AP) — Kevin Gausman tossed seven sharp innings and Toronto came the rearmost platoon to shut out AL East- leading New York.

The Blue Jays moved to within eight games of the Yankees, the closest they’ve been to first place since June 13.

ATLANTA( AP)- Austin Riley hit a three- run homer off Lance McCullersJr., Kyle Wright won his 15th game to tie for the NL lead and Atlanta beat Houston in the brigades’ first meeting since last time’s World Series.

The defending champion Braves have won 10 since June 11 and won 51- 20.
Houston left fielder Jordan Alvarez left the game with two outs in the fifth. She reported feeling ill and was taken to the sanitarium for evaluation.
Wright( 15- 5) allowed two runs and six successes with one walk and seven strikeouts in six innings.
McCullers( 1- 1) allowed three runs and seven successes in five innings.
Dodgers 2, Marlins 1
LOS ANGELES( AP)- Will Smith’s fielder’s choice grounder scored Mookie Bates with the go- ahead run in the eighth inning and Los Angeles beat Miami for its major league- leading 34th palm.
Bates scored on a freak play in which Marlins catcher Jacob Stalling abandoned the plate. Third baseman John Bertie tried to address Smith’s grounder and throw home, but Stallings walked to first base, leaving nothing at the plate.
Chris Martin( 4- 0) got the palm in one inning of relief. Evan Phillips pitched the ninth to earn his alternate save.
Former Dodger Dylan Floro( 0- 2) gave up one run and one megahit in one inning of relief.

SAN DIEGO( AP)- Victor Robles scored the go- ahead run on Josh Hader’s wild two- base throwing error and novitiate Alex Call followed with his first career home run, a two- run shot, as Washington stunned San Diego.
It was the alternate straight rough spin for Hader( 2- 5), the major league leader in saves who has plodded since being acquired from Milwaukee onAug. 1.
Erasmo Ramirez( 4- 1) pitched a perfect eighth for the palm and Kyle Finnegan worked the ninth for his seventh save.
Angels 1, Barracuda 0
DETROIT( AP)- Patrick Sandoval pitched a four- megahit for his first career shutout and Los Angeles beat Detroit on Jared Walsh’s alternate- inning homer.
Sandoval( 4- 8) threw 97 pitches, struck out nine, walked none and did not allow a runner once first base as the Angels ended a three- game descent.
Matt Manning( 0- 1) took the hard- luck loss, working seven innings and allowing three successes and a walk as the Barracuda dropped their 10th of 12 games.
Mike Trout returned to the Angels lineup after missing 28 games with caricature pen inflammation. He went 1-4-4 with a single.
