Baltimore Orioles outslug Boston Red Sox, hit 5 homers in wild 15-10 win
BALTIMORE — Anthony Santander hit one of the Orioles’ five homers and drove in four runs, and Baltimore beat the Boston Red Sox 15- 10 on Friday night.
Jorge Mateo, Adley Rutschman, Ryan Mountcastle and Ramón Urias homered for the Orioles, who had collected three runs in their former two games, both losses.

NEW YORK( AP) — Kevin Gausman tossed seven sharp innings and Toronto came the rearmost platoon to shut out AL East- leading New York.
The Yankees were held to four mates and did not get a runner beyond alternate base as they lost for the 14th time in 18 games. They’ve been blanked three times in the last six games and five times in the last 13.
The Blue Jays moved to within eight games of the Yankees, the closest they’ve been to first place since June 13.
Gausman( 9- 9) allowed four successes and one walk with seven strikeouts.
Lourdes GurrielJr. got an RBI groundout in the third before Alejandro Kirk led off the fourth with a single against Jameson Taillon( 11- 4). Teoscar Hernandez followed with a long homer to left- center.
Braves 6, Astros 2
ATLANTA( AP)- Austin Riley hit a three- run homer off Lance McCullersJr., Kyle Wright won his 15th game to tie for the NL lead and Atlanta beat Houston in the brigades’ first meeting since last time’s World Series.
The defending champion Braves have won 10 since June 11 and won 51- 20.
Houston left fielder Jordan Alvarez left the game with two outs in the fifth. She reported feeling ill and was taken to the sanitarium for evaluation.
Wright( 15- 5) allowed two runs and six successes with one walk and seven strikeouts in six innings.
McCullers( 1- 1) allowed three runs and seven successes in five innings.
Dodgers 2, Marlins 1
LOS ANGELES( AP)- Will Smith’s fielder’s choice grounder scored Mookie Bates with the go- ahead run in the eighth inning and Los Angeles beat Miami for its major league- leading 34th palm.
Bates scored on a freak play in which Marlins catcher Jacob Stalling abandoned the plate. Third baseman John Bertie tried to address Smith’s grounder and throw home, but Stallings walked to first base, leaving nothing at the plate.
Chris Martin( 4- 0) got the palm in one inning of relief. Evan Phillips pitched the ninth to earn his alternate save.
